Fan favorite, Walt Obrinske Jr., was involved in a heat race crash that left the point leader thinking he was out of competition for the rest of the evening. The Performance Automotive NW Street Stock driver was down, but not out, as fellow competitor, Corey Davis, loaned Obrinske his car and things really clicked after that. Attrition was the name of the game, as Dan Lewis was out of the competition, along with Scott Sigman, even before the drop of the green on their 25-lap feature. Chuck Ewing had mechanical difficulties on lap three. Mike Ammerman moved into first just as something broke in the rear end of the car, sending him hurtling into the wall at the exit of turn one on lap five. Ian Sprague was sent to the pit with a fluid leak on the lap five restart. On that restart, Joe Barnhart, Matt Kirchen and Marc Smith were slicing and dicing for the top spot. Marc Smith moved into first on lap 10, with Kirchen and Barnhart on his bumper. Obrinske Jr. began his march up through the pack and was sitting in third behind Barnhart by lap 15. Caution on lap 21 for Barnhart saw JL Smith move into fourth ahead of Dave Thorburn. On the restart, Obrinske began looking for a way around M. Smith and finally got it done on lap 24. At the stripe, it was Obrinske Jr., M. Smith, Kirchen, JL Smith, and Thorburn rounding out the top five. Heat races were won by Kirchen and Ammerman.

The WMMQ Classic Rock 94.9 MI Modifieds put on a heck of a show for the fans Saturday night, as nineteen mods lined up for their 30-lap feature. Jon DeFord jumped out to the early lead on the start, with Chris Ozanich, Perry Davenport and Dan Loughan all trying to grab the spot from him. Ozanich took over the lead on lap six. Leroy Ellis was making his charge, as Deford got hung out to dry, with Davenport and Loughan able to make their way around him into second and third. Loughan made his bid for second on lap 10, bringing Ellis along with him. The top four broke away from the field with Ozanich fighting tooth and nail to keep Loughan behind him. Ozanich was dirt-tracking and Loughan stuck a nose underneath and took away the spot on lap 19. Loughan, Ellis, Ozanich and Davenport continued their four-car battle as caution came out on lap 20. On the restart, Loughan and Ellis put a bit of daylight between themselves and Ozanich and Davenport. Ellis went to work on Loughan for that number one position and was all over Loughan?s bumper. Caution on lap 29 set up a one lap shoot out, but Loughan held on for the win over Ellis, Ozanich, Davenport and DeFord. Nick Fleury and Jason Parish scored heat wins.

The Holiday Powersports Pony Stocks added an interesting twist to their feature at SMS. Fast qualifier, Jimmy Scavarda set a new track record for the ponies. As his reward, he got to start one lap down from the pole. Scavarda was given 20 laps to catch the leader. Brent McCort set sail at the drop of the green but was black flagged, on lap 10, for leaking fluid. John Conroy inherited the lead as Scavarda was beginning to reel him in. Conroy ran into slower cars, allowing Scavarda the opportunity to dart around them to take the lead on lap 15. At the stripe, it was Scavarda, Conroy, Randy Kretzinger Jr., Ashley Passick and Jared Roy.

The Pure Stocks numbers are beginning to grow, with five cars showing up to test their mettle. Wayne ?Daniel? Parkhurst continued his winning ways, by grabbing the lead from Doug Patrick on lap three and showing the way for the rest of the fifteen laps. At the line, it was Parkhurst, Patrick, Brian Silcox, Bryan Passick Sr. and Adam Gussey.

MCR Dwarf action returned to the big 3/8-mile with Rob Roney and Junior Gould stealing the show, after their charge to the front, then battling for position ahead of Roger Balcom and Jon Wylie. Gould made Roney work for the first position after Gould grabbed the lead from Braydon Basye on lap 13. Roney made short work of Basye and set his sights on Gould, looking inside and out, coming down the backstretch on lap 16 and found a way around Gould. At the checker, it was Roney, Gould, Balcom, Wylie and Craig Myers.
